Mount Auburn Cemetery, at first, may sound like an unexpected place to gather. It’s understood, among the undergraduate community, however, that it’s a must-see place before graduating. A stroll in the autumn lends itself to beautiful golden-red canopies of trees. This Work of the Week takes us on an amble in the cemetery, in the days leading up to Halloween. The film has since been processed, documenting this journey.
The photographer is Charlie Ambler, a third-year student at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. He is studying politics and visual arts, and he enjoys taking photos with his film camera in his free time. He has a special interest in horror films.
Ambler visited a member of the Independent recently, and they photographed the serene elements of Mount Auburn Cemetery, as pictured. The photos were taken during a funeral service, a week before Halloween night.
