Moving across the world to ‘find yourself’ is not a clever paradox.

A frozen yogurt business was not the original plan of one of its founders, Matthew Wallace—he went from working in research labs to cooking in the Mass Ave kitchen—but it became a central aspect of his life. “It’s like one of those life lessons—you have that thought as a five-year-old, ten-year-old, twenty-year-old, of where your career is heading, and you just don’t know what’s around the corner,” Wallace says.
It’s tempting for students to study in preparation for a career rather than for the sake of learning. To a certain extent, this attitude makes sense.
