Highly recommend Cronin and Sheedy (and the coalition) put trafficking survivors’ voices at the center of all discussion. They are trying to build their own skill sets but unless they prioritize the needs and experiences of people who have lived through trafficking, they will not have an accurate picture. I have researched this topic for 10 years and that is THE BIGGEST gap in anti trafficking efforts. Glad Sheedy is taking this on. Rock on!

      Hi Lucy,

Just wanted to say I really appreciated this comment! We have been working really hard to be sure to include survivor voices in many ways — including having them as facilitators at our event. We definitely think survivors are the experts and deserve to be championed, and I am glad people such as yourself are also advocating for this as well! There is definitely much more to do to put them at the center so if you want to suggest ways you have seen this done well we would LOVE to learn. Feel free to email me at dsheedy@college.harvard.edu if you have any suggestions of ways to do this or of groups that have done this well.

      Thanks so much again!
