For those just tuning in, this is the third installment in a series where I find celebrities’ (often extremely dubious) ties to communism. No, you won’t find Sean Penn or Alec Baldwin here, but you will find McCarthy-era links to friends of friends of some people that might be communists.
While linking Italian pop star Tiziano Ferro or Serbian tennis superstar and part-time comedian Novak Djokovic (both extremely gorgeous men, by the way, so props to them where they are due) took some effort, Jay-Z’s love gave me very little work to do, and I’m not just talking about her public appearances wearing a shirt with the face of mass murderer/genocidal manical Che Guevara, either. I was always a little thrown off by that song “Irreplaceable”- you know, the one that goes “to the left, to the left,” and I do believe the lyrics are dedicated to George W. Bush. However, the good folks over at ytmnd.com did all the work for me, check it out here.
Stay tuned! Next time, will it be Britney? Paris? Marty Scorcese? You never know!
